LaBelle, located in Hendry County, was named for Laura June Hendry and Carrie Belle Hendry, daughters of pioneer cattleman Francis Asbury Hendry. The city hosts an annual festival to celebrate the state tree, the cabbage palm, which includes activities throughout the town including a 5K run, beauty pageant, and rodeo. Other attractions include LaBelle Nature Park, Blueberry Bunch Farm U-Pick, Harold P. Curtis Honey Company, and Townsend and Sons Everglades Outfitters.
